Fixed Wing models

We offer Tuesday training evenings sessions from April to September. but instruction is available on other days throughout the year by arrangement with an instructor. We have a WhatsApp training group so instrucotrs and trainees always know when flying is available.

We have a 100% record in recent years for getting people through the BMFA A-test at first attempt. We cater for complete novices, pilots preparing to take the A-test or experienced fliers who have perhaps had a break from the sport or who just want to brush up on safety matters.

We offer a taster session to anyone thinking of taking up model flying using our club trainer. We can also then offer advice on a suitable trainer model and radio set-up. Helicopters

We do not offer formal training for helicopter flying. However we can put you in touch with someone who offers training for a reasonable hourly cost.

Alternately, informal help may be available from other members at the flying field if you have a basic level of proficiency and there is a WhatsApp heli group for communicating with other heli fliers. To find out more, come to the next club night and talk to one of our committee members who looks after helicopter flying.
